When I was a kid growing up just outside of Toronto, I developed pretty bad seasonal allergies. One night, they were so bad, I awoke crying, completely unable to breathe. Not sure what else to do, my parents, who had tried every allergy relief trick they could think of, took me to the emergency room at the hospital. There, a doctor confirmed that the allergies had caused my sinuses to swell so much that not even the tiniest bit of air could pass through my nose. I was miserable.

Fast forward to today and my son suffers from bad seasonal and environmental allergies. Having experience with it myself, I know just how awful it feels and how disruptive it is to his sleep. My heart breaks when I hear him sniffling and tossing and turning throughout the night. I want him to have a peaceful night so that he’s well-rested for the day ahead.

When we stayed at the Garland Hotel in North Hollywood recently (read our hotel review here), our room had a Dyson air purifier in it, a great feature I’d never seen in a hotel before. I noticed that my son slept better at the hotel, his nightly allergies considerably less bothersome.

Those Dyson fans and air purifiers are pretty cool-looking and I love the small footprint, the bladeless technology and WiFi compatibility. But they are pricey and a real investment. However, a few models are currently on sale for Labor Day and I think it’s finally time to make the investment for our home.

In reviews I’ve read online, many people say that they bought the fan to help purify the air during the Canadian wildfires that blew across the border and I know that the air where I live in California also gets thick and hard to breathe when wildfires occur here.

Normally $649, the Dyson Purifier Cool™ TP07 Smart Air Purifier and Fan is currently 23% off at $499 for a limited time on Amazon. NOTE: The prices printed here reflect the correct price at the time of publication. It’s a lot to pay for a fan/air purifier but a worthy investment if you suffer from allergies or are in any way concerned about the air quality inside your home.

According to the product description, the Dyson Purifier Cool™ TP07 Smart Air Purifier and Fan automatically senses, captures and traps pollutants to create cleaner air in your home, plus acts as a fan as well.

It will automatically sense and react to changes in air quality, then report pollution to you in real time on the LCD screen and in the MyDyson app. The filter needs to be changed one a year and you’ll get automatic notifications also on the LCD screen or in the MyDyson app. In Night mode, the machine monitors and purifies using the quietest settings with a dimmed display.

You can program the machine to turn off after pre-set intervals between 30 minutes and 8 hours and you can control your machine hands-free with compatible voice services like Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri and Google Home.

Buy the Dyson Purifier Cool™ TP07 Smart Air Purifier and Fan here on Amazon.
