If, like so many of us at this time of year, you’re planning to get healthy, I highly recommend a NutriBullet blender to help start your days on the right foot. (And, at the time of publication, it’s currently 20% off, which is a great savings.)

This NutriBullet blender combo set comes with a 1200W motor base, a 64-oz blender with lid and vented lid cap, a 32-oz cup, a 24-oz cup, two to-go lids, an easy-twist extractor blade, and a recipe book.

This blender is extremely powerful; it has a stainless steel blade that has no problem handling frozen fruit. The pitcher and portable travel cups are BPA-free and the plastic stands up well to daily use and ours looks as good now as the day we got it. The pitcher and cups are dishwasher safe and the blade can be easily rinsed with soap and water. I’ve gone through a few blenders and this is by far my favorite. I had a high-end blender that looked great on the countertop but it just couldn’t handle frozen fruit the way this one can.

I typically start my morning with a smoothie and I never leave for the airport without downing a smoothie. In the event of long lines, delays or cranky kids, I want to be energized, prepared and NOT hungry. Grabbing something to eat is the last thing I want to have to think about in case our travel plans don’t go according to, well, plan. (That’s also why my husband always travels with a stash of Luna bars in his bag.)

I have two go-to smoothies, both made with the intention of packing in as much spinach as possible. And they’re both delish:

Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

Blend together:
-one frozen banana
-one cup of almond milk
-two tablespoons of peanut butter
-one scoop of chocolate protein powder
-four cups of spinach

Pineapple Banana Smoothie

Blend together:
-one frozen banana
-four slices fresh pineapple
-one cup fresh pineapple juice
-four cups of spinach

So, if you’re looking for ways to squeeze in more greens, a NutriBullet can help. And it’s on sale for 20% off (at the time of publication). It’s a great deal and an even better long-term investment in your health.
