There’s a long list of reasons why I will not be flying Frontier Airlines anytime soon and the latest example should make everyone feel the same way. The ultra low-cost carrier is known for offering super cheap fares but then making the money back (and then some!) with a laundry list of ancillary fees. The most outrageous fee is charging up to $100 for putting a carry-on bag in the overhead bin. RELATED: Don’t fly Frontier Airlines unless you know this

As if that wasn’t bad enough, a passenger exposed the gate agents by filming them telling her her bag didn’t fit in the bag sizer near the gate. Everyone could see it quite clearly fit and it was later revealed that the gate agents were charging $99 for the bag to be brought onto the plane. A Frontier Flight attendant messaged the passenger and told her the reason why their gate agents are such sticklers is because they make a $10 cut each time they get a passenger to pay $99.

That’s obviously outrageous and now there’s a new reason not to fly Frontier Airlines. According to CBS Los Angeles “a U.S. Navy sailor trying to fly back to his Los Angeles area base claims a Frontier gate agent refused to let him board his flight unless he paid her. “I was like man this is crazy,” Demonta Roach said. “I actually get up in the morning. I fight for this country, word hard, break my back and I come back home to things like this.” Petty Officer Roach said the incident happened at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport after he spent Veterans Day weekend with his family in Atlanta. He was waiting to board his flight to LAX when he said it got delayed at the gate. “I went and grabbed a bite a eat and once I came back, the lady closed the door,” Roach said.”

Roach said the gate agent told him he was late and would not let him onto the flight back unless he paid her $50. Roach told the agent that he was in the Navy and she said, “I don’t give a damn what you’re in give me my money.” And another agent claimed the fee is usually $150 but since he was in the military they would only charge him $50.

Roach was able to board the flight by pretending to send the money to her account. The airline is aware of the incident and claim they are going to investigate but we shall see.
