If you have children, you know how important their milestones can be. Everything from saying their first word and losing their first tooth to taking their first steps and graduating from kindergarten. RELATED: Don’t Fly Frontier Airlines Unless You Know This
My husband and I have two little ones (ages four and seven) and we’re in that phase of all kinds of firsts. And of course, we want to be there for all of them. Sometimes you miss them and that can’t be helped, like the time our son lost his first tooth on the soccer field at a practice I wasn’t at. But other times, you move mountains to make sure you’re there for the things that are important to them.
Just last year, we cancelled and rebooked our tickets to Toronto for Christmas so we could be home for our son’s first Christmas concert. And last summer, we waited and waited and waited until our daughter’s dance studio announced the date of their ballet recital before booking our tickets to Europe for the summer. Sometimes as parents, you’ve just got to do what you’ve got to do.
This morning, while watching The Today Show, I caught a clip on Hoda’s Morning Boost about “a little boy named Xavier, who had to miss his kindergarten graduation because he was traveling out of town with his family – but the Frontier flight attendants made his flight extra special by giving him his own ceremony.”
They shared the video that was originally posted by Laci Alvarez on TikTok. Watch the video below.

Like everyone in the comments, the video just melted my heart. Here’s what some people had to say about it:
Amanda: it’s so cute when she said “kindergarten graduation” everyone perked up. Like yes let’s hype this little kid up lol
Kathy: It is simple human to human kindness that keeps us sane.
kay: THE WAY ALL THE HUMANS PERKED UP WHEN THEY HEARD “kindergarten graduation” is MELTING MY HEART ❤️
Danii E: Who else can say they graduation took place 40K feet up in the air!?! Thats unforgettable for sure!!! Way to go buddy ????
Anna B: The high fives at the end made me cry… 3-4 years ago, no one would dare high five a stranger on a plane. I love this so much ?
The comments go on and on and on, everyone expressing how beautiful this moment is, reducing many to tears. It truly is astonishing how many lives a simple act of kindness can touch. At the time of this publication, this sweet little video has racked up 1.2 million views.
Unfortunately, many Frontier Airlines headlines aren’t so great, as you may recall from these recent stories:
–Infuriating: Frontier Airlines Busted for Incentivizing Gate Agents to Enforce Outrageous Baggage Fees
–Don’t Fly Frontier Airlines Unless You Know This
–Frontier Airlines Worker Loses It With Passengers Involuntarily Bumped From Flight at Denver International Airport
But this latest video is really touching and a reminder that a little kindness goes a long way. Way to go, Frontier!
