Bilt Flying Blue Perks
Starting on February 29, 2024, Bilt Platinum status members are eligible for 12 months of Flying Blue Gold status. This ongoing perk is available to Bilt members still striving to reach Platinum status. Additionally, the perk also automatically qualifies members for SkyTeam Elite status.
To activate the offer, Platinum status members only need to follow these steps:
- Tap the elite status tab in the Bilt app
- Select “Elite Status Match”
- Transfer 10,000 Bilt Points to a linked Flying Blue account to activate the offer
- Gold status is confirmed within three business days after activating the offer
- Enjoy Flying Blue Gold status for 12 months
Flying Blue Gold Benefits
This tier is the second elite status tier within the Flying Blue loyalty program.
Featured benefits include:
- Extra baggage allowance
- Airport lounge benefits
- SkyPriority priority travel service
- Preferred seating is available starting 72 hours before departure (Economy Comfort, seat in a row of 2, front section, and extra legroom)

This status match offer is available through 2024. It’s also possible to requalify again for Flying Blue Gold status in 2025 by maintaining Bilt Platinum status. The Bilt app provides more details about this promotion. It’s reassuring to know that it’s not a one-time status match like the Rent Day perks.
