Universal Studios Hollywood and Spirit Airlines have made gaming enthusiasts’ dreams come true by teaming up to introduce the world’s first Airbus A320neo featuring a Super Nintendo World aircraft wrap. Departing from Detroit (DTW) and bound for Fort Lauderdale (FLL), this unique flight takes to the skies today, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for passengers. The specially-themed aircraft will continue flying to various destinations until May 2024, offering travelers an immersive experience even before they reach their destination.
I’m a big fan of Universal Studios Hollywood. My family and I have visited twice in the past year. We loved our first family visit so much that we returned again to check out Grinchmas over the holidays. And although I’ve never flown on Spirit Airlines before, I think their collaboration with Universal Studios Hollywood is a great idea, especially since it makes traveling more fun and exciting for adults and kids alike.
The aircraft belongs to one of the most fuel-efficient fleets in the industry. Passengers can take advantage of Spirit’s flights from 20 U.S. cities to Los Angeles (LAX), serving as a gateway to Universal Studios Hollywood and Super Nintendo World. Flight bookings on the specially-themed aircraft are based on the plane’s flying schedule.
Spirit Airlines flies to more than 80 destinations across 15 countries in the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean.
As Universal Studios Hollywood celebrates the one-year anniversary of Super Nintendo World, guests are in for a treat with new attractions and offerings. Commemorating this milestone, the park is introducing a special-release Golden Power-Up Band and offers complimentary one-year anniversary buttons while supplies last. Visitors can also check out the culinary offerings of the all-new Power Up Cafe, serving Super Mario Power-Up themed menu items, adding to the immersive experience.
As part of the partnership, the Next-Level Flyaway Sweepstakes offers guests the chance to win a three-day, two-night trip for four to Universal Studios Hollywood.
