Virgin Atlantic, which was founded in 1984 by serial entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, has just opened their new clubhouse at LAX. I was fortunate to be on hand for the ribbon-cutting and to take an exclusive tour. Here are the highlights:

The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse is located on the sixth floor of the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Passengers flying Virgin Atlantic Upper Class or Delta One can access the exclusive Delta One entrance next door at Terminal 3 (arrivals). They also have their own private TSA, which offers a much smoother experience than the regular security at TBIT.

Guests can unwind, work or dine in the Ruby Room, a Hollywood-inspired area with its own cinema offering wireless Bluetooth headsets. For VIPs, The Royal Box provides a private retreat with adjustable mood lighting and an exclusive secret menu.

For those seeking a quiet place to concentrate, The Wing offers acoustically-sealed work pods inspired by Virgin Records’ storied legacy. Named after iconic studios like The Manor, Olympic Studios and Sunset Sound, these pods pay homage to the legendary artists who once recorded there. This was my favorite part of the lounge.
