In the golden age of in-flight entertainment, few passengers expect a live performance, especially one by a child channeling her inner Moana over the cabin PA system. But that’s exactly what happened on a recent Delta Air Lines flight and the internet can’t decide whether it was the cutest thing ever or a flight delay fever dream. BTW: Do you remember when music legend David Foster and his celebrity friends serenaded passengers aboard an AirAsia flight?
TikTok user @druziroaming posted the now-viral clip (embedded below) with the caption: “When your Delta flight is delayed 2 hours and you circle Orlando for another 2… But then a little girl sings Moana on the crew mic and suddenly everything feels okay 🥹”

The video, which shows a small child confidently singing to the cabin over the crew microphone, has racked up millions of views and even more opinions. While some users found it sweet and charming, a bright spot in an otherwise frustrating travel day, others were ready to demand a voucher or jump out the emergency exit.
“Absolutely zero hate to this girl but major side-eye to her parents,” commented food TikToker @scheckeats, echoing what many others were feeling: admiration for the child, frustration at the situation.
Other top-voted replies leaned into dark humor:
“What’s your favorite horror movie? IDK… Being trapped in a metal tube with a singing child.”
“Moana did NOT leave her people for this.”
“In 2013 this would’ve gotten her on Ellen.”
“Imagine you finally get your baby asleep and this happens 😭”
Some were impressed that the flight crew allowed it at all, suggesting either a bet among flight attendants or a desperate attempt to lighten the mood during a long day of delays.
The Divided Cabin
It’s no secret that travel delays test everyone’s patience. While some saw the spontaneous singalong as a wholesome moment of levity, others called it “bottom ten experiences.” The video underscores a growing tension in travel culture: the clash between social media moments and public space etiquette.
So, What’s the Verdict?
The little girl sang “the whole song,” as one viewer lamented, throat-clearing and all, turning the cabin into an impromptu stage. Whether that makes her a viral star or an unwitting villain depends on your seat number (and mood).
In a world of canceled flights, lost luggage and surly seatmates, maybe a little Moana can go a long way. Or maybe, as one commenter put it, “I would have to file a complaint against the airline and receive a voucher.”
