In honor of the king of travel’s death, this week we’re featuring Anthony Bourdain’s first book, which jumped-started his career. “Kitchen Confidential” came out of an article he wrote for the New Yorker (“Don’t Eat Before Reading This“).
The humorous and eye-opening story was so well-received that he got a book deal out of it. Here’s Amazon’s description: “A deliciously funny, delectably shocking banquet of wild-but-true tales of life in the culinary trade from Chef Anthony Bourdain, laying out his more than a quarter-century of drugs, sex, and haute cuisine—now with all-new, never-before-published material.”
