It’s like summer today here in L.A. as the temperature is hovering around 80F. It is nice but it sure doesn’t feel like December 18th. And you know where else it doesn’t feel like Christmas? Chicago’s O’Hare’s International Airport (ORD) as you can see a ridiculous flight took place there yesterday near the American Airlines check-in counters.
Christmas at Chicago O'Hare airport.
It’s a real shame because ORD, in my opinion, does the best job out of all the airports I’ve been to in terms of Christmas decorations. I traveled through there twice last year around the holidays and I was so impressed that I took lots of photos, like the one above, and I booked a long layover so my family could experience it this year.

It’s not clear how the fight (embedded above) began as the video starts mid-brawl which looks like it’s between one guy and three other people, including an airport staff member. It must have taken place late at night because there weren’t many people around and they were using “wet floor signs” as their weapon of choice. You don’t normally see floors getting mopped in the middle of the day.

I’m not sure if anyone was arrested but it looks like the brawl ended after the solo fighter and most likely the instigator threatened to use the stanchion holder and no one wants to get clobbered with that thing.

Some of the most popular comments include:

@alvargrana: Can someone add the music of star wars phantom menace, epic!

@isocialbuttafly: I’m so glad this is happening on the ground and not in the air!

@henryh3: The Holidays bring out the best in people

@donnieandthejets: When you thought you saw it all… 😂

Hopefully, no one sees this kind of despicable behavior the next time they travel through O’Hare. BTW: ORD is named after Edward “Butch” O’Hare who was a World War II hero and the first U.S. Navy flying ace. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery. Also the site of ORD was originally a military airfield, known as Maine Field, during World War II. After the war ended, the city of Chicago sought to develop a major civilian airport.
