Durnstein
While most of the passengers went on an optional wine tour to sample some local vintages from this famous, wine-producing region, Natalie and I walked into the small village with a population of 250; it was a short 10-minute walk. There is no longer a Christmas market here – that ended a few years ago, according to one of the shopkeepers. There were only six shops in town and just a few open so don’t plan on buying much. We bought some apricot products, which the town is famous for.
