I’ll bet you’ve never really thought about how expensive and complicated airplane toilets are. I certainly hadn’t, but thanks to this 90-second Air New Zealand video I now know that there are over 300 parts to an airplane toilet and it takes over a day to assemble one. On top of that, an airplane toilet costs about $17,000 US a piece, making it one of the most expensive toilets in the world.
