If you’re a Southwest Airlines (SWA) frequent flier, then you know that the airline has a very loyal customer base. That’s because they don’t charge for checked bags (two free, up to 50 pounds per person), they don’t charge change fees, they don’t have assigned seating and their flight attendants are usually hilarious. They also have some great pilots, like a father-daughter duo, who are quite remarkable. RELATED: Is this Southwest Airlines flight attendant the friendliest you’ve ever seen?

SWA just shared a great story on their Instagram account with the caption: “Like father, like daughter ?”

Southwest writes: “First Officer Mackenzie always knew she wanted to be a Pilot. She was even inspired to dress up like her dad, Captain Michael, in her elementary school days! Once gifted a “discovery flight” (a short introductory flight for those interested in taking the first step toward earning their pilot’s license), Mackenzie knew she was meant to fly. Mackenzie pursued her passion at Arizona State University, where she participated in the University Pathway of the Southwest Airlines Destination 225° Pilot Pathways Program. She recently joined the Southwest Family alongside her dad, Captain Michael, and enjoyed her first flight with him. The trip was even sweeter since her mom, brother, and fiancé could join them! Welcome aboard, First Officer Mackenzie; we’re so glad you’re here! ?❤️?”

Seriously, how amazing is this? What a joy this must have been for both of them but especially Mackenzie’s father, who must have had the feeling that his job of raising his daughter is done and he aced the test.

As the father of a four-year-old girl, I know I would have felt that way and my heart would have been filled with so much love and appreciation. I couldn’t imagine him being any prouder of his daughter and the internet thinks so, too. Here are some of the comments:

@jparkerduo: This is inspiring for parents with a child seeking to be an airplane pilot and having concerns about a potential military requirement.

@_jake__williams: This is awesome

@interstatebatteries: This is so inspiring. Awesome family! @southwestair This evening I had a great flight from STL to MCI, SW1943. I am positive that Mackenzie was the First Officer operating my flight. It was a very smooth landing as well??

@hamzarhman: This has to be the most wholesome moment for the father and daughter

@beefbossfr: This is what dreams are made of?
