1. Cancun, Mexico
According to Allianz Partners USA, Cancun, Mexico is the number one international getaway destination for Americans and for good reason. From the weather, the beaches and the ancient historical sites to the food and the nightlife, there are lots of reasons to consider Cancun for your next beach getaway. There are plenty of affordable hotels and resorts in the area, as well as a wide range of activities and excursions to enjoy, including snorkeling, parasailing, and dolphin encounters.

2. Panama City Beach, Florida
Panama City Beach is a popular destination if you’re looking for an affordable beach vacation within the United States. If you haven’t been to the Florida Gulf before, you will love the sugar-white sand beaches (some of the softest, nicest sand in the world) and the epic sunsets. A stroll through Pier Park, Panama City Beach’s top shopping and entertainment district, is fun, while checking out the city’s many antique shops is easier on the wallet. There are many outdoor activities to enjoy, like deep-sea fishing, beach volleyball and paddleboarding.

3. Phu Quoc, Vietnam
Phu Quoc is a beautiful island located off the coast of Vietnam that is becoming increasingly popular for its affordable beach vacations. With its pristine beaches, lush jungle, and vibrant culture, it’s easy to see why this island is so appealing. There are plenty of affordable hotels and resorts in the area, as well as a wide range of activities and excursions to enjoy, including snorkeling, island-hopping, and cooking classes.

4. Mombasa, Kenya
The beautiful coastal city of Mombasa in Kenya is full of inexpensive things to do. FYI: 1 USD = 125 KES (Kenyan Shillings). A visit through the Old Town is beautiful and educational (hire a local guide for an understanding of the history and safety) and visit Haller Park to see animals like monkey, hippos and giraffes. The beaches are beautiful and you’ll love snorkeling, diving and the dolphin- and whale-watching tours if you time your visit just right.

5. Palawan Island, Philippines
Palawan Island is referred to by many as a slice of heaven. Visitors can expect soft, white sand beaches, crystal waters, exotic marine life, charming fishing villages and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Island hopping tours and guided historical tours with city sightseeing are inexpensive things to do. You can also take a jungle walk or explore caves. There are plenty of exciting things to do that won’t break the bank.

6. Da Nang, Vietnam
Like most of Asia, while airfare may be pricey to get there, you’ll find that once you arrive, hotels, food and activities are pretty inexpensive. Da Nang, Vietnam is famous for its beaches so if you’re looking for a cheap beach vacation, this is definitely a place to add to your list. But while you’re there, you can also visit the Ba Na Hills, which offer spectacular views, climb the Marble Mountains and visit the local pagodas.

7. Corfu, Greece
You might not think of Europe as being a budget-friendly destination and Greece can be expensive. But the island of Corfu is relatively affordable. Situated on the shores of the Ionian Sea, Corfu, like much of Greece, has stunning beaches. But off the sand, you’ll want to explore Corfu Town and enjoy the cafes, restaurants and museums, discover the island’s medieval castles and hike Mount Pantokrator, the island’s highest mountain.

8. Koh Samui, Thailand
Last but most certainly not least on our list is the beautiful island of Koh Samui in Thailand. Located on the Gulf of Thailand, Koh Samui is known for its white sandy beaches and lush jungles. While it can be expensive, there are still budget-friendly hotels to be found along with cheap food at street markets, inexpensive tours and attractions that don’t cost a lot or are free to visit. While you’re there, you’ll definitely want to check out the many iconic temples on the island.
