4. Mombasa, Kenya
The beautiful coastal city of Mombasa in Kenya is full of inexpensive things to do. FYI: 1 USD = 125 KES (Kenyan Shillings). A visit through the Old Town is beautiful and educational (hire a local guide for an understanding of the history and safety) and visit Haller Park to see animals like monkey, hippos and giraffes. The beaches are beautiful and you’ll love snorkeling, diving and the dolphin- and whale-watching tours if you time your visit just right.

5. Palawan Island, Philippines
Palawan Island is referred to by many as a slice of heaven. Visitors can expect soft, white sand beaches, crystal waters, exotic marine life, charming fishing villages and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There are plenty of exciting things to do that won’t break the bank.

6. Da Nang, Vietnam
Like most of Asia, while airfare may be pricey to get there, you’ll find that once you arrive, hotels, food and activities are pretty inexpensive.
