I’ve written many times how unique Southwest Airlines is, in large part thanks to their flight attendants. We’ve seen them make an unforgettable birthday for a little boy flying alone, make a bride-to-be cry (in a good way) on a flight to Austin and allow a world-renowned cellist to play a free concert during the beverage service.
Well, they’re at it again. Southwest Airlines crew made a flight to New Orleans this weekend an unforgettable Taylor Swift dance party (see embedded video below). Taylor’s fans, better known as Swifties, don’t need a lot of coaxing to have a good time. And it appears that once the flight attendant started playing Shake It Off over the public address system, the Swifties took it from there.
The caption of the video shared online reads: “Actual footage from my inbound flight, which was later airdropped to all passengers by the flight attendant. Are you ready for it?”

It looked like most of the plane was either dancing, singing or recording the incredible scene. It looked more like a private charter than a commercial flight but as far as I know, it wasn’t.
Since this just happened, there’s not currently a lot of information but you would think that there’s got to be at least one passenger who just wanted some peace and quiet. But as a Taylor fan, I loved it.
Here are some of the most popular comments:

It’s good to see Southwest Airlines flight attendants are still given the freedom to do what they want (within reason) especially now that the airline has taken on new board members who are trying to make the airline like all the others. They recently announced they’re doing away with open seating, their boarding process and more. Here’s a preview of Southwest Airlines’ new extra legroom seats and other cabin changes.
