Even if you’re not a football fan, chances are you probably either watched the game, the halftime show or the commercials just to see what the hype was all about. I was at a party so it was hard to hear everything but there were a lot of commercials that caught my attention – especially the travel-related ones.
Turns out, the most watched Super Bowl 2025 commercial on YouTube was indeed travel-related and was from Booking.com. The ad, which at the time of this publication had 93 million views, featured everyone’s favorites, The Muppets, in a variety of different settings:
The video is embedded below and I’ll include the transcript in case you’re at work.
Transcript: “Booking.com offers a variety of options for hotels and vacation rentals, catering to different preferences. Whether you’re looking for something more boutique, a family-friendly resort with a water park, or even a Vegas hotel for a bride-to-be, they’ve got you covered. They also offer flexibility with free cancellation, so you can book exactly what you’re looking for with peace of mind.”
To air a 30-second Super Bowl commercial alone cost $8 million and that doesn’t factor in how much they had to spend to produce it. It’s hard, as a small business owner, to understand how they can make that kind of money back but good for Booking.com for creating the most-watched Super Bowl commercial in 2025.
According to Variety, “As in years past, comedy and celebrities broke through the Super Bowl ad maelstrom, including Glen Powell for Ram Trucks (No. 2); Bill Murray for Yahoo (No. 4); Shane Gillis, Post Malone and Peyton Manning for Bud Light, with Gillis and Post Malone becoming the life of a dead-end street party (No. 6) and Kieran Culkin providing the voice of a genius beluga whale for NerdWallet (No. 7). Landing at No. 5 on the list was the trailer for Marvel’s “Thunderbolts*” movie.”
