Have you ever had the temptation to flag down one of those courtesy airport carts when you’re running late to your gate? I have but never thought about stealing one to take for a joyride. The same can’t be said about Kevin J. Sinning, 29, of Wyoming, who was arrested shortly before 1 a.m. on Monday by the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority Police Department.

Video (embedded above) shows Sinning driving an unattended courtesy cart over a moving walkway at Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF). Not surprisingly, it broke and damaged the walkway’s glass panels and the vehicle, said the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority.

According to NBC News, Sinning appeared “visibly intoxicated” and was “accused of second-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, criminal possession of stolen property greater than $3,000 in value, criminal nuisance and third-degree grand larceny.”

Social media obviously had a field day with this story:

doc.cadence: Flight attendants: YOU SEE WHAT WE ARE DEALING WITH!!!!

Ryan S.: Airport beers hit different

Marky C.: Dude thought the moving sidewalk was gonna be a speed boost like Mario Kart

quixoticpilgrim: Has Trump appointed him the Department of Transportation yet?

palmsend_008: The suspect’s surname makes him self-deserving.

xsongbird64: So this guy managed to have all this time to steal a cart… drive over a walkway twice… IN AN AIRPORT… without being touched once?

This is something travelers don’t see every day and thank goodness.
