The first time I ever flew on a plane, I was four or five years old. I can still remember how the people, cars and houses quickly looked like toys as we started to ascend through the sky. A dozen years later, I became afraid to fly but I got over it after researching how much safer it was to fly than drive, and asking pilots and flight attendants all sorts of questions. I can pretty much guarantee that if my dad had been a pilot, I never would have let my phobia get the better of me, especially if my father was the pilot and if we flew regularly, which we did not.
I think that’s one reason why @jenn.cassandra’s Instagram post went viral. The 7-second video, embedded below, of her toddler waddling down the airplane aisle once the flight landed to her father, the pilot, is so cute. Jenn’s caption was: “We were in the very best hands. ❤️✈️ Our first family flight with John up front was a success with the sweetest reunion.”
