I know I write mostly about airfares but traveling by train can be a much better option and experience, depending on when and where you’re going and your travel style. That’s why Amtrak’s National Winter Travel Flash Sale is worth featuring.
For a limited time, you can score up to 40% off on both Coach Class and Business Class seats. Whether you’re planning to cruise through the cities on the Acela or explore scenic routes to Chicago, Los Angeles, or Dallas, Amtrak has some deals.
This flash sale runs through Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, for travel between December 2, 2024, and March 15, 2025. With some routes available for travel Monday through Thursday, and Saturdays (with a few blackout dates).
Amtrak’s EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, Eliot Hamlisch said, “Amtrak’s winter sale lets you experience the comfort, convenience, and sustainability of train travel between major cities like New York City, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and Boston, or enjoy the stunning landscapes of destinations like Chicago and Los Angeles.”
Hamlisch also said, “We’re excited to offer a new way to reach your winter getaway—without the hassle of traffic, tolls, and long lines.”
He’s right. Whenever I’ve traveled by Amtrak, I’ve had a pleasant experience and they offer way more legroom than the airlines.
