I’ve previously featured United’s Big Metal Bird web show but never a specific episode—until now. The “Island Hopper” episode is a five-minute history of—and what it’s like to fly on—United’s “island hopper” that flies between Honolulu and Guam, making five stops total. The route has been running for 50 years. It’s literally the lifeline of Micronesia and it’s a route I would love to experience. The scenery looks out of this world, doesn’t it?
