United Airlines Credit Cards from Chase Offer Enhanced Bonuses

Great news for those who might want to get a United card before the year’s end. These bonuses come with extra miles with similar spending requirements that they had before. Unfortunately, only the consumer cards are coming with the extra miles. Here’s what to expect.

United Gateway Card – 20,000 Bonus Miles

Let’s begin with the $0 annual fee option that is great for the occasional United flyer.

Bonus: New United Gateway℠ Card cardmembers can earn 20,000 bonus miles after spending $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months the account is open. Plus, 0% intro APR for 12 months from account opening on purchases. Learn more.

Cardholders also earn 2x miles on United® purchases, at gas stations, and on transportation (including public transit, rideshares, and taxis). All non-bonus purchases earn 1x mile per $1 spent.

Other perks of the card include 25% back in the form of a statement credit on food, beverages, and WiFi in-flight purchases and trip cancellation insurance. The United Gateway Card can be a good option when you want to earn miles without an annual fee and don’t need extra perks.

United Explorer Card – 50,000 Bonus Miles

This is probably the most popular of all the United Airlines credit cards from Chase.

Bonus: New United Explorer Card cardholders can earn 50,000 bonus miles after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of account opening.

Cardholders earn 2x miles per $1 spent at restaurants and eligible delivery services, on hotel stays, and on United® purchases. All other purchases earn 1x mile per $1 spent.

The United Explorer Card comes with two free checked bags (one for the primary cardholder and one for a travel companion). It also has a chance to enjoy the United Club lounge with two one-time passes annually, the ability to get 25% back in the form of statement credits on United in-flight purchases, and priority boarding.

The annual fee is $0 for the first year and then $95 per year.

United Quest Card – 70,000 Bonus Miles

So here’s a card that comes with more than the basic airline card perks but also doesn’t have the highest annual fee.

Bonus: New United Quest Card cardholders can earn 70,000 bonus miles and 500 Premier qualifying points after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months their account is open.

Cardholders earn 3x miles on United® purchases, 2x miles on dining, select streaming services, and all other travel, and 1x on all other purchases.

United Quest Card cardholders and one companion can each bring two checked bags for free. Cardholders also enjoy up to a $125 United® purchase credit and up to 10,000 miles in award flight credits each year – terms apply. Plus, earn 500 Premier qualifying points for every $12K spent on purchases, up to 6,000 PQP in a calendar year.

There is no foreign transaction fee, but the annual fee is $250.

United Club Infinite Card – 90,000 Bonus Miles

Those who fly United frequently will like this card.

Bonus: New United Club Infinite Card cardholders can earn 90,000 bonus miles after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

Cardholders earn 4x miles on United® purchases, 2x miles on dining and on all other travel, and 1x mile per $1 spent on all other purchases.

Like its sister cards, cardholders can enjoy free first and second checked bags for the cardholder and a travel companion, Premier Access® travel services, and 25% back in the form of a statement credit for in-flight purchases of food, beverages, and WiFi.

Both the Club Infinite and Explorer cards come with TSA PreCheck or Global Entry.

Unlike the other cards, this one comes with the ability to earn up to 8,000 Premier qualifying points (500 PQP for every $12K you spend on purchases). While the annual fee is $525, note that a complimentary United Club membership is also included.
