Bring a carabiner to help keep your luggage secureEach Friday, we feature a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip comes from reader James M., who says:

“I keep a carabiner of the type rock climbers use, clipped to my carry-on’s shoulder strap. I can then clip the strap through any bag handle, chair leg, table leg, etc. It weighs an ounce, is self-stored on the strap and is absurdly strong.”

With a carabiner (you can buy one on Amazon), of course, you can secure your bags in a public place so that potential thieves can’t grab them. Thanks, James!

I carry a Ski Lock! it works when I am waiting in a Hotel Lobby, or at airport gate or lounge. It can tie multiple pieces (and leather jackets – through sleeve) https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81n5SxZzDvL._SL1500_.jpg Under $10 on Amazon
