One of this week’s top headlines was about rapper Juvenile being downgraded to coach from first class on an American Airlines (AA) flight. He was so upset he walked off the plane in anger, vowing never to fly them again.

Juvenile and Flavor Flav flying Southwest Airlines. Before this incident, I’d never heard of Juvenile but I can feel his anger. You buy a first class ticket on an airline you give a lot of business to and they downgrade you while you’re on the plane is not only wrong but it’s embarrassing. The way Juvenile handled it wasn’t great either but you have to respect a man who claims he never flies coach and was so adamant about not flying AA, he flew the all-coach airline Southwest Airlines.

I’m not sure why Juvenile was downgraded but it was either because AA oversold first class or the aircraft was downgraded to one with fewer seats. It’s probably the latter and if he was sitting in the last row, that’s usually the one that gets the boot … another reason to reserve the first or second row of first class on American.

Here’s Juvenile’s original post, which he shared on Instagram Live and was saved by another user.

According to TMZ, “Southwest Airlines hooked him up with a couple free tickets so he could make it to his Wednesday night show in Fort Worth.” And now he’s giving Southwest Airlines a shoutout for swooping in to rescue him.

In related Southwest Airlines and rapper-related news, Flavor Flav, a rapper pretty much everyone has heard of, just shared that he met some Southwest Airlines flight attendants at the Paris Olympics and they invited him to hand out snacks the next time he flew with them and guess what … it happened. That was fast, eh?

Here’s the video straight from Flavor Flav’s X account (@FlavorFlav):
“Met some @SouthwestAir flight attendants in Paris and they said I was a regular on their flights and next time I could pass out the snacks and do the landing announcement,,, and guess what,,, I did it,!!! How does it feel to be landing the the voice of yours truly FLAVOR FLAV,?!”

Even Southwest Airlines (@SouthwestAir) commented: “You just know that was a fun flight! Hopefully you’ll catch him next time!”
