A video uploaded just a few hours ago is already taking the internet by storm. Titled “The most INSANE Bohemian Rhapsody Flashmob you will ever see!!” it really does live up to its name.

YouTube video

The performance is the work of Julien Cohen, a Paris-based pianist born in 1993 who has gained international attention for his spontaneous public performances and viral videos. Trained in Paris, London and Hamburg, Cohen blends classical expertise with a playful approach, collaborating with young prodigies and opera singers in unexpected settings like airports and restaurants. This time he brought a fully choreographed flashmob to the streets of Paris to perform Queen and Freddie Mercury’s iconic Bohemian Rhapsody.

The reaction from both the crowd and social media has been electric. A sampling of comments shows just how much the performance resonated:

  • @lziskind: THIS is the world I want to live in. I need this. Sign me up.
  • @iimpossiblegermany: Does anybody else just cry like a baby when they see stuff like this?
  • @sassykadik: Now I’m 10 minutes late for work. Worth every second.
  • @koala0865: Normally, I’ve stopped listening to this song because it’s been played soooo much. But this – wow! The performance was so good, they are talented and I’ve got goosebumps.
  • @dkstevens38: Just once I’d like to witness a flash mob in person. This was amazing.
  • @patsgal67: This has to be the best flash mob ever!!!
  • @dawnberglund: No tissue was spared. If I ever create a bucket list, to be present for this would be the only thing on it.
  • @joanneanewday: I’m alone listening to this. By the end I found a huge smile on my face. I wear hearing aides so it was playing right in my ears. Chills.

Mickey Callisto, the lead singer for the flashmob, also shared his excitement in a comment: “What an honour it was to be asked to be the lead singer for this flashmob and play alongside some truly world class musicians. Thank you Julien and long live Queen and Freddie Mercury ❤️”

The video is really well done and looked like it was produced by the same team as America’s Got Talent with all the quick edits, panning to the crowd reactions and captions that make you want to stick around for more.

Julien Cohen’s YouTube channel, @julien_cohen, now boasts over 6 million subscribers, cementing his role as a modern ambassador for classical music. Bravo!
