If you’re flying through JFK this Memorial Day weekend, there’s a new reason to arrive early … and it doesn’t involve long security lines or gate changes. Marshalls has officially launched The Upgrade Lounge, a first-of-its-kind airport pop-up in Terminal 4 that promises premium perks without the premium price tag (or any price at all).

Open from May 21 to May 28, The Upgrade Lounge is designed for travelers who crave a first-class experience but are flying economy. This stylish sanctuary is open to all, regardless of ticket type or frequent flyer status, embodying Marshalls’ mission of making better experiences accessible to everyone.

What Travelers Can Expect at The Upgrade Lounge

Forget crowded seating areas and overpriced coffee. The Upgrade Lounge is designed to surprise and delight even the most seasoned traveler with thoughtful, stylish and completely complimentary offerings:

  • Chic, Style-Centric Design: The lounge mirrors the vibe of a curated boutique. From plush seating to trendy fashion and accessories, the space offers a refreshing, design-forward escape from typical terminal chaos.
  • Beauty Bar: Whether you’ve just landed or are about to take off, enjoy a refresh with name-brand beauty products. It’s the perfect mid-travel pick-me-up.
  • Premium Giveaways: Visitors will receive complimentary amenity kits and snacks, thoughtfully chosen to upgrade your journey without costing a dime.

Even outside the lounge’s operating hours (8am–12pm and 5pm–9pm), the seating area remains open 24/7. That means travelers can enjoy a more relaxed, comfortable atmosphere any time of day.

A Perk For Memorial Day Travelers

Memorial Day weekend is one of the busiest travel times of the year, with TSA screening over 7 million travelers last year alone. For many, airport lounges are a dream rather than a reality, the cost often being the main barrier. According to a recent survey conducted by Marshalls, two-thirds of travelers without lounge access would use one if it were available to them.

Marshalls is addressing that gap with The Upgrade Lounge, proving that travel luxury doesn’t have to come with a sky-high price tag. This isn’t just a lounge; it’s an invitation to experience the brand’s ethos of high quality and incredible value in a totally new way.

A Nod to Summer Style

TV personality Amanda Batula lent her fashion expertise to help curate both the in-lounge experience and a digital companion collection called The Upgrade Shop, available now on Marshalls.com.

Final Boarding Call

Want to check it out? Travelers can visit The Upgrade Lounge at JFK in Terminal 4 between May 21 and 28. And yes, it’s totally free. Pro Tip: Can’t make it to JFK? You can still shop the curated picks from The Upgrade Shop online at Marshalls.com.
