Ever wonder how long your flight will really be? You can’t trust the airlines or most third-party booking sites for this information because they usually list the time from pushback from the departure gate to arrival at the gate where you’ll disembark. If all you care about is how long you’ll be in the air, there’s a better way: FlightAware.com.
Just log on to FlightAware.com and input your airline and flight number. If you scroll down, you’ll see the flight times for the last 10 days of that flight as well as what times the plane actually took off and arrived in each case. I use it all the time, including last week when I picked up one of Natalie’s friends from LAX.
FYI: If you register your name and email and create a password, you can get the last four months of data for free.
