Keeping hydrated is important in all contexts (including when you fly), but especially when you’re being physically active. Like when you go hiking. Simply put, it’s hard to overstate the importance of bringing water when you hike. I recently had a dear friend die due to dehydration while hiking in the hills around Malibu. He was the healthiest guy I knew and probably thought he would be ok after having gotten lost and used up his water. Sadly,, he was wrong.
