You can always ask the airport help deskEach Friday, we feature a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip come from reader J. Michael O., who says, on the subject of gypsy drivers at Chicago’s O’Hare (ORD):

“Not sure if you’ve ever touched on the matter, but here’s one to consider: Volunteers staff nine (9) Help Desks at ORD and rove throughout the airport helping passengers. I am one of the volunteers. As a seasoned business traveler, I’ve often encountered folks who were lost or didn’t know where to find something. It’s easy to spot a lost soul a mile away.

Anyway, Help Desks and other information resources are available at airports. Some are staffed by employees and others by volunteers.”

Thanks, J. Michael—for the tip and for volunteering!
