One of our favorite family destinations is Hawaii (I’ve been at least two dozen times) and my favorite airline to fly to get there is Hawaiian Airlines. And if I had my travel dates set, I’d be booking today because Hawaiian is offering a Buy One Get One Free deal that ends tonight.
According to their website: “Buy one Alaska or Hawaiian Airlines ticket to and from Hawaii and get another for just the taxes and fees. Use discount code HIBOGO by July 16, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Restrictions apply.”
- The biggest restrictions are the dates, times and routes:
- Travel between August 10 and November 19, 2025
- Valid only on flights departing between 5:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. PT/HT for these routes:
From Seattle (SEA) to/from:
Kona (KOA), Lihue (LIH), Kahului (OGG), Honolulu (HNL)
From Portland (PDX) to/from:
Honolulu (HNL), Kahului (OGG)
From San Diego (SAN) to/from:
Honolulu (HNL), Kahului (OGG)
Just be sure to enter the promo code HIBOGO in the discount code field, then click “Find flights” to start your search.
Hawaiian and Alaska are smart to entice travelers during a slower season. If you’re planning a trip to Hawaii between August and mid-November, it’s a no-brainer to jump on this deal before midnight.
What I love about Hawaiian Airlines is that the flight attendants make you feel like you’ve landed in paradise the moment you step on the plane. Here’s my last Hawaiian Airlines trip report:
- Maui to Honolulu on Hawaiian Airlines
- Honolulu to Los Angeles in Hawaiian Airlines Extra Comfort Seats and Exclusive Cabin
My most recent trips to Hawaii have been on American Airlines since I have elite status with them. That means free checked bags, priority boarding and, most importantly, extra legroom seats. I’m hoping that once the Hawaiian–Alaska merger is complete, those same perks will carry over since Alaska is a oneworld partner.
One of the things I love about flying Hawaiian (besides their warm crew who often wear leis or kukui beads), is that they usually operate widebody aircraft and serve Hawaiian-inspired meals and drinks. It’s a refreshing throwback to the way flying used to be, before the big carriers cut all the little things that made travel special.
