However, if you have a high monthly payment, you can reach the previous $50,000 annual earning cap before year-end. Thankfully, the annual points cap is being lifted so you can earn more points on rent.

Earn Up to 100,000 Points on Rent With Bilt Rewards
The Bilt Credit Card recently increased the maximum number of points you can earn from rent payments. Starting now, cardholders earn 1 point per rental dollar and earn up to 100,000 Bilt Points per calendar year through the Bilt App.
The previous annual limit was 50,000 points, meaning you only earned rent rewards on the first $50,000 in yearly rent payments. While most households won’t max out this category, the limit increase is good news for renters in high-cost-of-living areas.
Rewards points can be earned on one rental property per month.

Other Bilt Credit Card Rewards Categories
There are no additional changes to the Bilt Credit Card bonus point categories.
You can earn the following number of points on purchases:
- 3x points on dining
- 2x points on travel
- 1x points on rent (up to 100,000 points per calendar year)
- 1x points on other purchases
Cardholders can earn double points for non-rent purchases on the first of each month through the Rent Day promotions. Cardholders can anticipate earning up to 10,000 bonus points through this recurring one-day offer.
Additionally, cardholders must make at least 5 card purchases per statement cycle to earn purchase rewards for their spending (including rent).
This card continues to not charge an annual fee. Its most valuable points redemptions for most are a 25% travel redemption bonus through the Bilt App and 1:1 point transfers to airlines and hotels. You can learn more in our Bilt Credit Card review.
Summary of No Cap on Earning Bilt Rewards
The Bilt pay rent rewards increase helps renters in the most expensive cities earn points on their entire rent cost for the calendar year. Previously, only the first $50,000 in yearly rent payments were eligible for rewards. Now it’s the first $100,000 in annual payments.
