The NYC DOT has a long list of live NYC camsJust a few years ago, the only ways to find out traffic conditions were to watch the news, listen to the radio or check out traffic cams on the internet. These days you can just type in a destination on the web or in an app like Waze to find real-time traffic conditions. However, it’s still pretty cool to see live cameras, and the New York City DOT (Department of Transportation) has a plethora of them. I particularly love seeing the streets of New York City when it’s snowing to see those winter wonderlands while I’m hanging near the beach in southern California.

You can search for cameras numerous ways and learn the streets via other features like bike maps.
