The U.K. government is warning their citizens that “on 2 October 2017, a 24 hour airport strike will affect airports across Italy. There are likely to be delays. More information can be found at the Italian Civil Aviation Authority website (Italian only). You should consult your airline for information about the status of your flight.”
I couldn’t find any news on it but thought you should know in case you are traveling that day to/from or via Italy.
