Reports of issues with airline check-in systems poured in this morning, with delays and confusion frustrating flyers around the country. According to TechCrunch, “a spokesperson for American Airlines confirmed the issue was with the Sabre flight reservation and booking system, used by several major airlines — including WestJet, Alaska Airlines and JetBlue, all of which had passengers reporting issues…JetBlue later confirmed it was recovering from the outage.”

The same AA spokesperson noted that the issue was quickly resolved on AA’s end, and for its part Sabre has tweeted that “recovery is in progress.” The Points Guy, too, wrote that the issue was “fixed within minutes, according to reports.” If you’re flying today, it seems you should be in the clear, but be aware that this morning’s confusion may affect your airport experience. And just in case, here’s what to do if you experience flight delays and cancelations.
