If you read the whole fiasco about our washing machine breaking then you probably know that the main tool I used to fix it was this rechargeable electric screwdriver. It has a light at the tip and 12 interchangeable heads including different size Philips, Hex and a flathead.
Here’s the official bit assortment:
Philips: PH1, PH2, PH3
Hex: H3, H4, H5, H6
Torx: T15, T20, T25
Flat Blade: SL4
Pozidriv: PZ2
If you subscribe to my free weekly newsletter, then you probably know I’m not the handiest guy in the world. But ever since my wife bought this electric screwdriver for me as a Father’s Day gift, I’ve become much handier. Tightening and loosening screws has become almost fun since it’s so easy. No muscles involved! Just press forward or backward and … voila!
When I fixed our washing machine, there were at least a dozen screws to take out and put back in. It seriously took me just a few minutes and my hands and wrist didn’t hurt at all, which they would have if I’d had to do it manually.
It also comes in handy when I’m tightening the kitchen chairs since my son is rough on them. I just tape a piece of a yellow Post-it note to the tip so I know which one to use instead of trying to figure it out each time.
This electric screwdriver is light and compact so you could travel with it as it weighs just 0.55 pounds. It also looks elegant with its frosted aluminum alloy storage box and it comes with a USB charging cable. I’ve only had to charge it a handful of times in the past couple of years so the battery really lasts.
The best part is that my mother-in-law thinks I’m super handy when in reality I’m just a guy with an electric screwdriver. But don’t tell her that!
