If you’re a value seeker when staying at hotels, the Choice Privileges loyalty program can be on your shortlist as it has a number of bargain-priced, mid-tier, and luxury properties at many destinations and stopping points. You can maximize each stay with the Choice Privileges Mastercard which helps you enjoy several benefits.
What is the Choice Privileges Mastercard?
The Choice Privileges Mastercard is a hotel credit card with no annual fee.
This new card will begin accepting applications on May 1, 2023. It will be issued by Wells Fargo and is a Mastercard World Elite product.
If you’re a long-time Choice Hotels fan or like comparing the best hotel credit cards, you’re probably thinking, “Not so fast. Isn’t there a Choice Hotels credit card already?”
You’re correct, but change is in the air, and the previous Choice Privileges Mastercard that’s issued by Barclays is no longer accepting applications. Wells Fargo is now the exclusive credit card partner for Choice Privileges.
Existing cardholders will receive a notification about the changes by mail and will begin receiving their replacement card this spring. There will be no changes to the annual fee or card APR, according to the card disclosures. Additionally, they can start enjoying the new card perks through Wells Fargo.

Now that the sign up bonus has been announce, do you qualify for the 60000 points if you had the Barclays card?
No, Also a FYI , I had a Barclays Card that converted to & tried to apply for the new Select Card & the system automatically rejects it(doesn’t pull your credit report). it goes to review & asks you to call. Called them & said you can’t have 2 Choice cards. Explained this makes no sense to auto reject as I was converted. That lead to a merry go round of transfer to different people. Asked if I can upgrade the converted card & the system doesn’t allow that currently as they just changed Finally was told you have to cancel the converted card & reapply for the Select Card. That’s a silly policy especially when people are getting converted from the issuer change.
