I’ve been deeply embedded in the Apple ecosystem for years—using an iPhone, MacBook, iPad, and Apple Watch—and I’ve always appreciated Apple TV+ for its high-quality content. When I travel, I rely on my Apple devices to download my favorite Apple TV+ shows and movies for offline viewing (some of my favorite Apple TV+ shows are Ted Lasso, Bad Sisters and Presumed Innocent) and and I do the same for my kids’ iPads to keep them entertained during long flights or road trips.

Until now, enjoying Apple TV+ on the go was limited to those within the Apple ecosystem. But with Apple’s recent announcement that the Apple TV app is now available on Android devices, this is set to change. This move opens up a world of entertainment for travelers who don’t use Apple hardware but still want to access Apple’s award-winning content.

What this means for Android users
• Global Access: No matter where your travels take you, you can now stream Apple TV+ shows and movies on your Android phone or tablet.
• Offline Viewing: Download content before you board your flight or embark on a road trip, so you’re never without entertainment.
• Top Apple Originals: Enjoy hits like Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, Severance, and many more, right from your Android device.
• MLS Season Pass: With the 2025 MLS season kicking off soon, travelers can catch every match without blackout restrictions, making it easier to follow their favorite teams while on the go.
• More Sports Content: From Friday Night Baseball to Sunday Night Soccer, sports fans now have more options to stay connected to their favorite games while traveling.

Why this matters for travelers
Many travelers have Apple TV+ at home on their smart TVs but haven’t been able to watch on their mobile devices without an Apple product. Now, whether you’re waiting at the airport, relaxing in your hotel room or on a long train ride, you can enjoy your favorite Apple TV+ content on Android.

Getting started
Simply download the Apple TV app from Google Play, sign in, and start streaming. For new subscribers, Apple offers a seven-day free trial.

As a frequent traveler, I know how important good entertainment is while on the move. This expansion ensures that more travelers have access to top-tier content, no matter what device they use. For more details, check out Apple’s official announcement.
