I must admit that every time that I go down one the Tube’s long escalators in London I dream of sliding down the middle rail. I’m sure plenty of others have done the same (and even done it), which is why they placed the “bumps” in the middle as a deterrent. It seems those “bumps” don’t always work, however, based on the Reddit gif below. Transport officials in London should consider playing it on a loop overhead. I’m sure it would do the trick. It certainly took my daredevil fantasies away.
