Air New Zealand started the trend of interesting in-flight safety videos that passengers will actually want to watch and not tune out a few years ago (with videos like this one). Now Singapore Airlines has gotten into the act. Instead of being shot inside a plane, the new Singapore Airlines safety video is set all around the city/country in a partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board.

In an interview with the UK’s Metro, Singapore Airlines senior vice president for sales and marketing Campbell Wilson said: “Our new safety video provides a more captivating way of effectively presenting safety information to our customers as compared to the more conventional approach that we have taken up to now. At the same time, it proudly showcases many familiar spots in our home base of Singapore to a global audience.”

Wow, that’s a long video. They need to trim it at least half of it.

But on another note, Johnny, on minute 1:40, they talk about “Infant Seat Belt”, I have never heard of an infant seat belt. Is it a separate belt only for infants or are they using the same adult seat belt?
Do all airlines have this? I have never seen or heard of this.
