Consider Skipping Pub Crawls on Spring Break
It’s Spring Break season, and in the spirit, today’s tip is about Spring Break safety—and it comes from the State Department. Via its Twitter handle (@TravelGov, a good resource), the State Department tweeted:

“[S]pring break travelers – consider skipping unlicensed events like pub crawls. High risk of spiked drinks/robberies/etc. #springbreakingbadly”

It’s true that some pub crawl operators, for example, are not held to the same legal standards as even bars are. And as crawls are composed of different groups of people every night, there’s a lot of room for error. Advice for you or to share with a child, nephew/niece/etc.: Consider skipping anything sketchy, and if you do join a pub crawl or similar event, be sure to stay alert and make good choices.
