How often do you fly: On average, once a month.

How many countries have you been to: At least 25

How many continents have you been to: 4

Favorite American City: NYC

Favorite international city: Berlin (with the clause that England/English cities don’t really count as international for me!)

Least favorite country: None that I’ve ever visited.

Favorite World Heritage Site: The Taj Mahal (since I can’t choose just one in England)

Favorite airline: American Airlines (in the hope that if reading this they might upgrade me to the next FF level – Exec Platinum)

Aisle or window: Always window

Favorite U.S. airport: To arrive at – any in NYC as that means I’m home.

Favorite international airport: Koh Samui airport is great as it feels more like you’re in someone’s garden than at an airport with palm trees everywhere!

Favorite hotel: The Cary Arms in Torquay, Devon – a very special spot on the English Riviera.

Favorite cruise line: I couldn’t say as I’m yet to go on a cruise (and combat sea-sickness).

Favorite Island: The Isles of Scilly (closely followed by Manhattan)

Favorite fancy restaurant: The Yorke Arms – a fabulous Michelin-starred restaurant with rooms in Yorkshire.

Favorite hole in the wall: The last one I went to – Cocoron in NYC’s Lower East Side (for the best buckwheat noodles!)

Favorite fruit: Lychee

Favorite food: Fresh fish, grilled and ideally served on a beach with a lovely cocktail.

Least favorite food: Mayonnaise

Drink of choice (In the air and on the ground): Green juice. I swear by it as an immune-system booster.

Favorite travel movie(s): The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Favorite travel show(s): Anything involving Sir David Attenborough

Favorite travel book(s): I’m a big fan of Wallpaper and Time Out city travel guides

Right now I am reading: Thomas Glavinic’s Night Work, a gripping psychological thriller centered on a last-man-on-Earth scenario .

Five things you bring on a plane: Water, as I can never drink enough, sunglasses, in the hope they’ll be sunshine when I land, iPad, extra socks, and usually some work to do.

What do you always seem to forgot: To turn my phone on airplane mode.

Favorite travel iPhone app(s): I’m a bit obsessed with Google Earth if that counts.

What do you want your loved one to buy you from an airport duty free store: Perfume, please.

Most embarrassing/worst travel moment: I once landed at JFK and mistook actor Adrian Grenier at the baggage reclaim area for someone I know. I’m sure he thought I was trying to chat him up and I soon realized my embarrassing error. Needless to say my luggage could not arrive off the carousel soon enough!

What’s your dream destination: Anywhere with my husband. Unfortunately I’m usually traveling on business without him.

Favorite travel website(s) – besides JohnnyJet.com, of course!: www.VisitEngland.com, of course!

Best travel tip: Green juice – anything containing wheat-grass. I always pack a green ‘superfood’ powder to combat a weakened immune system from flying and lack of sleep.
