As the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games quickly approach, travelers scurry to take advantage of the centrally-located host city.
Most are trying to figure out the most convenient, hassle-free modes of travel, in hopes they can extend their stay, visit neighboring countries in Europe and make this a trip if a lifetime- all on a reasonable budget.
Lucky for them (and you), Rail Europe is having a massive sale just in time for the Olympics.
Now through May 10, 2012, travelers who book a consecutive fifteen-day Swiss Pass with the promotional cod: SWISS15 will receive a first-class pass for the price of a second-class pass. As an added bonus, travelers also receive a coupon offering complimentary round trip travel on the Stanserhorn mountain, via train and a ride up to the peak on the world’s first open top, double decker cable car- priced at $507/person, with savings reaching up to $300. (Travel valid for six months from purchase date.)
Important: In order to take advantage of this special offer when traveling with two more than two, be sure to select “no” in booking process when asked if you are traveling together. This will allow each individual traveler to utilize the discounted fare.
Likewise, from May 15 – June 14, 2012, save more than 20% on an adult price regular or saver France Rail Pass and France Rail Pass Premium- valid for six months from purchase date. With this special deal, travelers will enjoy five days of rail travel for the price of three. Not bad.
This next deal is particularly appealing if you’re planning to country-hop before/after The Games. Through June 12, 2012, you can save $75 when you book a Eurail Global Pass, which provides unlimited access to more than 20 European countries over 10 days, and $50 when booking a Eurail Select Pass. This invites travel aboard the national rail networks of three, four, or five bordering countries of your choice. Wait, what? Sign me up.
Enter this booking code; Global75 and Rail Europe will automatically take $75 off Eurail Global Pass bookings, while the code, Select50, will discount $50 on Eurail Select Pass bookings.
Last but not least, Rail Europe has also launched the Eurail Select Pass Free Day Promotion, available for booking through May 29, 2012. This offer allows travelers who purchase a seven, nine, or 11-day Eurail Select Pass an additional free day of travel on select ticket classes. Again, travel is valid for six months from the date of purchase, and pricing varies.
