If you aren’t familiar with the Southwest Companion Pass®, it is essentially a buy one, get one free pass for flights. Your companion must travel with you, and they would only pay the taxes and fees, which begin at $5.60 for a one-way ticket.

Further, the Chase 5/24 rule applies. You will need to delay your application if you have added five or more new credit cards to your credit history in the most recent 24 months. Otherwise, you likely won’t be approved.
