The latest Southwest Rapid Rewards® bonus offer lets you earn 50,000 points with the consumer Rapid Rewards credit cards. This signup bonus is relatively easy to earn, too. You only need to spend $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of card opening (totaling under $335 a month). The 50,000 points bonus can be worth several round trips.

What cards are offering the 50,000 Rapid Rewards bonus points?

Southwest’s low-fare calendar shows how few points are needed to book a trip. Members can make plans for travel in the coming months, including summer.

Participating Rapid Rewards cards include:

  • $69 annual fee Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card: Earn up to 2x Rapid Rewards on purchases, 2 EarlyBird Check-In per year, 3,000 points anniversary bonus, 10,000 Companion Pass qualifying points boost each year, and 25% back on in-flight purchases.
  • $99 annual fee Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card: Earn up to 3x Rapid Rewards on purchases, unlimited tier qualifying points (TQPs), 6,000 points anniversary bonus, 2 EarlyBird Check-In per year, 10,000 Companion Pass qualifying points boost each year, and 25% back on in-flight purchases.
  • $149 annual fee Southwest Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card: $75 annual Southwest travel credit, 4 Upgraded Bookings per year, earn up to 3x Rapid Rewards on purchases, unlimited TQPs, 7,500 points anniversary bonus, 10,000 Companion Pass qualifying points boost each year, and 25% back on in-flight purchases.

Additionally, these cards offer the ability to earn 2x Rapid Rewards per $1 spent on local transit and commuting costs (including rideshare). Internet, cable, phone services, and select streaming purchases also earn 2x points per $1.

It’s also easier to compare Southwest flight prices as the airline now publishes current fare costs on Google Flights. Previously, you could only see pricing on Southwest’s website and mobile app.

Offer Eligibility

You’re eligible for this offer if you do not have a current consumer Rapid Rewards credit card. Additionally, you are eligible if you haven’t received a Southwest signup bonus in the past 24 months.

Southwest business credit cards and employee cards are exempt from these restrictions.

Further, the Chase 5/24 rule applies. You will need to delay your application if you have added five or more new credit cards to your credit history in the most recent 24 months. Otherwise, you likely won’t be approved.

Summary

In conclusion, the latest Rapid Rewards bonus offer is a good one since it is easy to earn. Earning this bonus means you can have more adventures while saving some dough.
