reader-travel-tip2How to Get Easy Online Rebates
Each Friday, we feature a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip comes from Linda Z. from Woodland Hills, CA, who built on my recent coupons tip by saying:

“While not only for travel, use the website Ebates (ebates.com) to get to the actual website of the store you want to access. By going through the Ebates portal, you will get a rebate in the form of a semi-annual check. Each vendor designates a % of the purchase to rebate. You know that up front. This site costs nothing and all you have to do is register with them with an email and password. There are several hundred stores on the list.”

I use Ebates myself, and it can be a good way to save. Here’s my referral link in case you want to give it a try. Thanks, Linda!

I use Gulf Powerpoints to make reservations such as a Hilton Hotels I get 3% of my bill back in Power points. When you reach $25 you can then convert those points into a Gulf Oil gas gift card. Also the site has 3000 other online retailers that you can use. TIP: if you use Google as your browser and you install the Gulf Power Points add-on, thus anytime you go to a site that is affiliated with Gulf Power Points, it alerts you with a banner on top of the link and click on it and then go to the website and your savings are automatically credited to your Gulf Power Points account after you purchase. use this link and referral code to try it…..http://www.gulfpowerpoints.com Referral code 6l3g94
