Reader tip 4American Holidays, Too
Each Friday, we’re featuring a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip comes from Linda D., who built on Monday’s tip by saying:

“People should be aware of holidays on both ends of the trip. We were scrupulous of not wanting to travel in U.S. on Memorial Day weekend due to all the other travel going on, including getting from CA to the east coast to connect to Europe. What we failed to consider was flying home from London just before the start of  Memorial Day weekend. The lines of “Yanks” trying to get to the U.S. had us in very very long queues. Now we block out 10 days before and after for holiday trips across the country and to Europe to avoid the crowds.”

It’s true: American holidays are draws for everyone—not just in America. Thanks Linda!
