One of the coolest travel products to come out of CES this week is a new FAA approved little battery-powered gadget ($50) that has a built-in GSM chip. It will help travelers track their lost luggage. All you do is throw Trakdot in your bag and when you land you can log on to their smartphone app to see if your bag made it or not. The company sends you alerts on SMS or via the Trackdot smartphone app for $13 a year. The site isn’t live yet but it will be in March. Note: There’s a $9 one-time activation fee.
Product of the Week: Trakdot
