If you’re like me and sometimes get lazy looking up a flight status, don’t ask Google or Siri because the info they return is not always accurate. I learned that recently when my in-laws were flying from Toronto to Newark on Porter Airlines. As you can tell from the screenshot below, the Google result shows the flight as scheduled to arrive into EWR on time.
But when I double-checked the airline’s website (below), I saw the flight was not on time and had actually returned to the gate because of bad weather in NYC (the flight ended up being over six-hours late).
Moral of the tip: Don’t trust Google when it comes to flight status. Go directly to the source.
