I should tell you that I almost got suckered by a brilliant phishing scam regarding a Delta ticket that I never booked. Here’s a screen shot of it. I saw it on my BlackBerry and sent it to my travel agent to see if he booked it since it was a route I’ve taken before (JFK-SFO). He said he didn’t, and that the ticket number was legitimate except was not in my name. Then I sent it to my friends at Delta, who immediately wrote back stating “We have received reports from customers of fraudulent emails claiming to be from Delta. We have updated delta.com with an advisory and continue to work with our customers regarding these claims.” Advisory: Fraudulent postcards and emails. Thank goodness I didn’t click the infected links.
