Move over Singapore because Dubai’s ruler Sheik Mohammed bin Rashin Al Maktoum has just approved funding for the world’s biggest Ferris wheel. The Dubai Eye will stand 688 feet (210 meters), exceeding the Singapore Flyer‘s 541 feet (165 meters). Construction is set to begin this year.
