When friends or readers ask what my number one travel gadget is to take on a trip, I tell them that, besides my phone, it’s the same thing most flight attendants always bring on a trip, too.

Wireless chargers perfect for travel. As you probably know, it’s a portable charger because having your phone’s battery die while sightseeing or traveling all day is almost as bad as having it stolen. Unfortunately, these days, you can’t count on planes, trains and rideshares to have working power outlets nor can you really trust some of their charging cables, especially if you’re using a USB outlet. Here’s why.

Having your smartphone is not just a luxury but a necessity in many cases since you can call someone in an emergency, find your way from Point A to Point B, take photos, find any information you need, stay in touch with loved ones, perform medical monitoring, the list goes on and on.

That’s why I wasn’t surprised when my friend and tech expert Rich DeMuro did a segment on local L.A. news called: These travel chargers have you covered on the go. The video is embedded at the bottom of this post.

Rich says that when hitting the road or hopping on a plane, there’s no need for a carry-on full of cables thanks to these powerful chargers that can handle all of your devices at once.

Rich’s top picks are:
