British Airways invited me to go to the U.K. for a long weekend. First stop was Glasgow for the night to check out what’s happening there as they get ready to host the Commonwealth Games. Our first stop was lunch at Andy Murray’s Cromlix hotel that’s about an hour out in the country then we drove into downtown Glasgow and stayed at the Blythswood Square Hotel.
It has 100 guest rooms (93 rooms, 6 suites) all with luxurious Spanish marble bathrooms.
Unfortunately, it was a whirlwind trip so I didn’t have time to check out their award winning spa but I did manage to have a nice breakfast in their restaurant (first time I’ve seen make your own bloody mary’s at a breakfast buffet). Next time I will stick around for their afternoon tea. Rates begin at 115 euros ($156 USD).
